A COLLISION OF COLOR
If you ask a half dozen designers to predict the next color du jour, you’ll get a spectrum of responses. But one thing they can agree on is that grey is going away.
Beige is the new grey, warming up the base color of wallpaper and paint.
If you’re going to get saturated, you're going to do it with warmer earth tones. Think terra cotta, putty, mushroom. The “pop” of color is trending blue.

FROM HOMELESSNESS TO SUCCESS
COMMUNITY’S
CHILD
Community's Child is a non-denominational Christian program helping homeless women with infants combat abuse, poverty, addictions, and hopelessness.
In a safe, compassionate and structured living environment, women acquire the education, skills training, employment opportunities and support services necessary to break the patterns associated with homelessness.
Executive Director, Tara Nierenhausen, with unfailing grace and determination, puts these women on a clear path to success, boasting a 99% success rate.
Community’s Child has made a profound difference in the lives of women with bleak futures. They’ve gone from living in a garage or on the streets, to committing themselves to Tara’s direction, to emerging with confidence, independence and a career that will provide for themselves and their children.
Again, success has been consistent. Each graduate has gone on to a career job, most have their Master’s Degrees, and their children are thriving.
What I love about Community’s Child is their transparency, authenticity and effectiveness. While working with them in a fundraising capacity I have gained a much greater sense of the world-at-large along with deep gratitude for their unselfish, hard work.
Because they are a faith-based entity, Community’s Child does not take government funds. As a member of the fundraising committee I work to communicate the value of giving. Donations to their program truly change the lives of people, helping them to turn their lives around, become self-reliant and successful. I’m very excited to create greater awareness of Community’s Child and share the good news of their success.
